How we use cookies

VG Live uses a small number of cookies and similar storage so the site works. UK PECR treats cookies that are strictly necessary for a service you asked for as allowed without a separate opt-in. We do not currently run advertising, analytics, or tracking pixels.

Strictly necessary

Session and CSRF cookies from the Discord sign-in (Auth.js / next-auth) so we know who you are after you return from Discord.

Short-lived OAuth state cookies when an admin connects Twitch for live and sub counts.

These are required for login and security. If you block them, sign-in and account features will fail.

What we do not use

No advertising cookies, no social retargeting pixels, no third-party analytics cookies in the current VG Live build. Embedded Twitch or YouTube players are hosted by those companies and may set their own cookies when you press play. That is their processing, covered by their policies.

How to control cookies

Use your browser settings to delete or block cookies. You can browse public pages without signing in. Signing in means you accept the strictly necessary cookies needed for that account.
